1. Who We Are
HappyCademy is operated by Sébastien Ferrand, based in Bangkok, Thailand (179 Witthayu Rd, Lumphini, Bangkok). We are the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach us at booking.happycademy@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
When you book a trial lesson or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and details about your child (first name, age, subject interests). We also collect anonymised website usage data via Google Analytics. We do not collect payment card details directly.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to schedule and manage lessons, communicate about your child's progress, send event information with your consent, and improve our services. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal Basis (PDPA)
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA), we process your data on the basis of contract performance (to deliver the services you book), legitimate interests (to manage our business and communicate with enrolled families), and consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with appropriate access controls. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. Contact form submissions are processed by our secure backend and delivered by email.
6. Third-Party Processors
We use Google Firebase for database and authentication, Google Analytics for anonymised website traffic analysis, and Google Cloud Run for our API server. These services are provided by Google LLC and governed by Google's privacy terms.
7. Data Retention
We retain enquiry data for up to 2 years. Student account data is retained while your child is enrolled and for up to 1 year after. You may request deletion at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
We take children's privacy seriously. We only collect a child's first name, age, and subject interests for lesson scheduling, and only when submitted by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data directly from minors.
9. Cookies
This website uses minimal cookies. Google Analytics sets anonymised analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
10. Your Rights
Under the PDPA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent or object to processing at any time. To exercise these rights, email booking.happycademy@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered families by email before taking effect.
